Vacancies

We are always on the lookout for new freelance staff to join our core freelance team.

We are proud that our staff return to work with us year after year because as they say, ‘teamwork makes the dream work!’

We pay our staff well, industry minimum or above and the same per day rate whether it is a training day or an activity day.

Best of all, invoices are usually settled the week after you have worked so you do not have to chase them.

Instructors are provided with all the information and equipment they need on an activity or an expedition and with a good student to staff ratio plus a course director to oversee and support.

We are looking for holders of any of the following:

  • Mountain Leader (Summer)
  • Hill and Moorland Leader (or Walking Group Leader)
  • Countryside Leader Award
  • Basic Expedition Leader Award
  • Lowland Leader
  • Forest School Level 3
  • Experienced bushcraft practitioners (preferably with IOL accreditation)

In addition to;

  • Up to date 16 hour outdoor first aid
  • DBS less than 3 years old*
  • Food hygiene (preferred but not essential)

Of course, we need you to enjoy working with young people, be reliable, professional and understanding. A good sense of humour sits well with us too.

Have you got what it takes to work with us? If so please drop us an email or give us a ring. We’ll need an up to date CV, references and evidence of the awards that you hold.

*If you do not have a DBS then we can do this on your behalf

If you do not hold any of the above but are interested in working in the outdoors then please have a look at our Countryside Leader Award courses here. We are always happy to chat this through with you.
